How to verify a coin address using command line tools (via Windows, Linux, or OSX)

Assuming we are doing a query for the domain example.com, using the example Bitcoin address of 31uEbMgunupShBVTewXjtqbBv5MndwfXhb. dom.org subdomains will always begin with _btc2dom

host -t txt _btc2dom.example.com
If this domain has a dom.org coin address set up, you will recieve an answer that looks as follows;
_btc2dom.example.com descriptive text "31uEbMgunupShBVTewXjtqbBv5MndwfXhb"
You would then be able to enter the example address of 31uEbMgunupShBVTewXjtqbBv5MndwfXhb into the dom.org query box above to double-verify.
